Website analytics & privacy

9959.nz uses first-party analytics to understand visits, returning visitors, pages viewed, referral sources, device size, video watch milestones, visible active time, scroll depth, section views and donation-link clicks.

A random identifier is stored in your browser to estimate new and returning visitors. The server converts it to a pseudonymous identifier. We do not put names, email addresses, advertising click identifiers, full referring URLs or raw IP addresses into the analytics records. A short-lived hashed network identifier limits abusive requests. The hosting provider may separately process technical access logs.

Analytics is stored in our existing hosted database and is available only through an authenticated report. Records expire after 180 days. Different devices and cleared browser storage may count as different visitors. Video and reading engagement are estimates; donation clicks do not confirm donations.

We honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. You can also turn analytics off for this browser here. Private browsing, blocked storage and tracking blockers may prevent collection.

Analytics preference: on, subject to browser privacy settings.
